After 57 yrs on Cove Neck, driving along that fine, scenic shoreline around OBHarbor to Bayville and Centre Island, NOW I'm confronted with these mechanisms and proposals of great destruction. A Bridge Over Troubled Waters !!

The harbor is Oyster Bay's jewel. It is what attracted many of us to live here and raise our families. Having a corporation operate a dredging operation on an industrial scale is just wrong and completely irresponsible on the part of our local ,state and federal government,
A comprehensive study of the bay bottom sediment will bear out what the baymen have been telling officials for years. It will undoutably show that Flowers leased area is pristine, while the sediments that they disperse have settled on the undredged portions of the bay and has destroyed it for decades to come.
Let the science show this fact for everyone to see and let's end this draconian practice once and for all.

Those big suction boats are an eyesore and they're destroying the bay. I absolutely believe there should be lots of studies and regulations for this activity
