It disgusts me how instead of teaching boys to not sexualize females, we stop girls from dressing the way they want, only because some hormonal teens can't control themselves at the sight of a leg or a bra strap. It's basically saying that boys' comfort and ease of focus is more important than girls'. It's saying that boys' education is more important than girls' (yes, comfortableness affects your learning) It's basically saying that boys' success in life is preferred to girls'!!
Oh, and also, if you're a male member of staff and find minor students wearing skirts distracting, then I suggest you leave teaching. Looking at your students in that way is more inappropriate than wearing a skirt will ever be. Grow a fücking pair.

Skirts are not a problem. The reaction to them by some men and boys is. So let's deal with the problem and teach men and boys to treat girls and women respectfully, whatever anyone is wearing.

There are bigger issues than girls wearing skirts in school, which I always though was standard, smart uniform anyway. The notion that it is distracting to male teachers and students is rediculous, should this be a real issue to consider it won't be long until sharnbrook teachers are not allowed to wear skirts and dresses to school either! Silly and unnecessary
