It's the sad truth this happens at school still. In my school, leggings got banned in pe classes for being to sexual and a distraction to the boys, even though girls did not want to wear shorts as it made them feel uncomfortable, but it seems boys education is viewed as more valuable-an absolute disgrace.

This petition is a fantastic and really awesome idea. My school has a thing about skirts and shorts too, and they ENCOURAGE the boys to walk up to girls and say "Um, you're not in dress code". So, I'm really happy someone is making a difference about this. Thank you.

You boys or the worst. It's not my fault some ass can't keep it in its pants or comment about my appearance when I wear anything short. Teach boys to respect woman not woman to not "lead on" a man. Even if we wore long pants the same thing would happen.

As a woman who is attracted to women, I think if I can control myself and behave in an appropriate manner in a changing room full of mostly naked girls, then others should be able to control themselves when they see two extra inches of someone's leg! People should stop controlling other's clothing and focus on controlling themselves. If Sharnbrook is really that bothered about skirt length then they should just have a standard school skirt which anyone can wear.

Yes some girls skirts are too short, but to ban them is ridiculous. School should be about feeling comfortable and safe, not self conscious and violated because they are female. Gender equality is so important, and to say that girls can't wear skirts clearly is going against equality.
If boys get distracted, send them to an all boys school.
