As most of you know, there are mandatory service hours in every United States high school which are needed in order to graduate. While I believe you can help the community, it should NOT be forced upon fellow students because they already have things such as homework, quizzes, and tests to worry about. Plus, services aren't always available 24/7 and students can't attend all of them. Mandatory community service will cause students to do a half hearted, worthless service, simply to get the necessary hours rather than to actually help the community. Community Service becomes nothing more than an inconvenience for students. It makes students akin to penitentiary inmates who work because they are being forced to, not because they want to. So, what's the conclusion? Simple. We can't do anything to stop this unless we act together! Those who agree with this are free to sign it. Those who aren't? Just go on with your normal loves
