Please keep homeless people from camping in our parks, green belts and open space. It is a blight on our city. We need long term transitional housing.

The city couldnt even make it work to designate a few parking lots as homless camping sites. To think this plan will be anything other than a disaster is pure denial.

I am a traditionally progressive voter who have lived in Seattle for 25 years that STRONGLY opposes this proposal to turn our parks into homeless encampments.

We pay the taxes for the upkeep of the parks and play fields. Those levies were not passed by the voters and are not allocated to support the homeless. Our kids should not have to step around tents and over needles to play a game in our parks.

There is an answer for the homelessness but it is not by allowing our Parks to be destroyed. The city is $$$ behind in maintenance now. There would be no going backward. The Seattle Park employees that labor each day to clean up the parks now are not being respected for their effort with this action. I understand the Port has an open terminal that is better suited and not in use. Please use that space. NOT the parks used by our families and kids., plus the wildlife.

I am absolutely opposed to the proposed public camping ordinance, will oppose any Council member who votes for it and I am canceling my ACLU membership.
