I oppose camping in city parks. It is not safe for our children.

Thank you for preparing this petition. We must stop this insanity of systemic housing of human beings in the outdoors on public property. It's inhumane and detrimental for ALL citizens and visitors.

I can hardly believe city council members are ready to support this bill! I've had experience working with the homeless. This Is NOT the solution!

I am a senior citizen living near Magnuson Park. I will not feel safe walking there or bringing my grandchildren there if it becomes a campsite.

City parks cannot be repurposed for this, tax and build safe housing or enforce and protect the safety of those who already live in Seattle, and pay for those parks.

Strongly opposed to this (very bad) idea that will not solve the homeless problem and destroy our parks

This is not the solution. The Council needs to find a better solution than to allow camping in the parks and making it hard to remove those camping. If this is the best they can come up with then it may be time for them to go.

The city council needs to stop this craziness.

This is not going to help the homeless or anyone. It highlights the amateurs we have on our City Council. Instead of doing their jobs, they throw up their hands and decide to put the homeless and the taxpayers at risk. Please call and write to them NOW!!!!

Why are "park taxes" being imposed to support "homeless" encampments?

On top of this being a poor idea for those living near or using Seattle Parks, it is a lazy way to "help" the homeless. It furthers the divide between these individuals and quality, appropriate services.

Ridiculous!

This is a really crazy idea to give carte blanche to folks who may be drug-addicted and mentally unstable full access to public parks where children play. I fail to see how this will help them in the long run. They need roofs and stability, not tents and an unsafe environment. We visited Portland this summer and was not a pretty sight.

Are they nuts? Worst proposed solution ever put forth for homelessness.

Homekess persons deserve better... sidewalks? Induvudual tents in parks moving themselves on a regular basis?!!! Work with communities to let them sleep in gyms at night, community centers, churches or create more organized tent cities!!!!

Please do not allow our taxpayer funded parks to be taken over by vagrants who contribute no money to the upkeep of these areas!

The Mayor and City Council are out of control! We should be voting on many of these issues. Remember this at election time.

This bill is an ill conceived idea that will not give the homeless the help they need and will put at risk the citizens that have a right to enjoy public parks and spaces without fear.

Take all bikes and put tolls on bike lanes, require a owner registration tax on all bikes
