This measure will do nothing to help people stuck in homelessness. Allowing unrestricted camping is not the same as providing adequate housing.

Our homeless population and our city deserves a more well thought out plan than this.

Consider this my signature to stop using our parks as opportunities to house the homeless- it prevents the rest of us and are families from using them and feeling safe

This is short-sighted, irresponsible, as a native Seattlite who is continually disappointed in this city's governing, I am not surprised. But I will fight this. My child and every other child in the city deserves to feel safe in the park. As a tax payer I will fight this, and I will sue the city for mismanagement of funds, contributing to unsafe conditions for those with Snd without homes.

Mike O'Brien and other sponsors need to hear loud and clear that this bill is a very bad idea. If it passes, council members who vote for it should expect a strong reelection challenge.

This will solve nothing and the beauty of Seattle will be ruined. Homeless folks need a better solution.

We need a real solution to Seattle's homelessness,-help with mental health & drug addiction that leads to homelessness & perpetuates it. This is not an answer. It did not work in Portland, why would it work here?

Please support the Seattle Parks Foundation and do not allow our precious parks to be used in such a way. The parks are supported and paid for by the community. There has to be a better way to help the homeless.

Please stop the madness. Our parks belong to our children not needles, filth, and homeless. Fix the problem, don't make it worse!

This has been tried & failed in Portland. I live in Capitol Hill by Cal Anderson & can attest to the garbage & damage left by people already using the park overnight. It would only get worse.

Security has to be taken into account with this free reign approach.

Please find another alternative, the parks won't be sustainable and the intended fines are a dreadful idea. Tax marajuina to pay for housong, etc., like they've done in Colorado.

The thought of turning our parks into homeless encampments is very concerning not only for using the park with my children but for the use of parks for any tax paying citizen. This is not a solution but a mistake with scary consequences.

How can a solution that doesn't help secure permanent housing even be considered?
