There must be a better option. Let's find it.

I agree with all the reasoning of this petition. This legislation will not solve the homeless problem, it will not address problems of addiction or mental illness, it will not provide true housing, and it will severely hurt property values. In my family we have already decided we will move if it passes; I hope that there will also be a class-action suit against the city. Caring for the homeless should not come at the cost of injustice to people who have worked very hard to try to create a good family environment in this city.

We need a real solution to the homeless situation in Seattle. We need to transition people into housing via programs designated to help out our homeless population. It doesn't do the homeless or residents of Seattle any good by allowing them to stay in parks; this is not a real solution for people who need help, this is brushing the homeless situation under the rug and creating new problems .

This bill is a terrible idea.

There has to be another option. This has failed in a neighboring city - why do they think it would work here in Seattle? It will not!

I want to keep our parks clean. Use our tax money to clean up the parks, not pollute it.

Parks are for all citizens, not just a select few. Keep the parks open and safe for all of Seattlites. There are far more appropriate solutions for the homeless than handing over our parks for only their benefit.

This will not solve the homeless problem. Instead, it will make it worse.

Council Bill 118794 is horrible for the taxpaying, hardworking residents of Seattle. This proposed bill goes beyond reasonable bounds for the provision for those in need! The people that have been attracted to Seattle's streets are here to continue their lives of self-indulgence in addiction and living on the dole. They are not better off for it, they are worse. I deplore seeing the unsightly and unhealthy litter everywhere! Crime is up everywhere, even in seemingly safe neighborhoods. I was born here, have lived here most of my life and your collective politics and destructive actions are have brought me to a point of wanting to move far away. Seattle is sadly in moral decay. It didn't work in Portland...why is it going to work here? I say HELL NO to Council Bill 118794! Quit screwing up my city!

Keep Seattle clean and safe. This isn't the answer and would be a costly mistake for all including the homeless

please keep our public spaces safe for our children and elderly. allowing homeless encampments in public parks is NOT THE solution and will cause more problems.

This is the wrong solution to a difficult problem. Please do not turn our parks into garbage dumps and places where does not feel safe.

Every one of these council members have lost my vote. Murray never had mine, and won't get one next time.
