Stop Seattle From Turning Our Parks Into Homeless Encampments

This problem needs a real solution and this is not it.

This is absurd, many of the homeless are that because of drugs and alcohol problems. They need help but allowing them to live in the parks where our children play is absolutely the wrong way to approach the problem this city is facing

No camping on public land

This is madness and it has to stop!!!

As a taxpayer I want our parks safe for the children. Don't allow the homeless to camp in them. Come up with a better solution!

This bill is irresponsible and naive. Wake up councilmembers. This would be such a bad decision, that I actually am on Tim Burgess' side for once.

This sort of legislation is an outrage. Have these council members lost their perspective on this? lower property values, lower property taxes, also the effects tourism. This is nuts.

there must be a better solution. Do we have empty buildings? The city needs to hire trained Social Workers to triage the individuals experiencing homelessness. What have other cities successfully done? Sleeping in our public parks is not the answer.

The homeless encampments are a disgrace and danger to our city and need to be fixed now!

Why do we play to lowest common denominator? I pay taxes and VOTE. I want a clean neighborhood. Enough with "Freeattle"

Please don't let the homeless take over our parks. There are other better long term solutions. Just temporary ones avoids the real issue. No more bandaids! Parks are for everyone and need to be kept safe.

City Council needs to get in touch with the needs of taxpaying citizens.

As a lifetime Seattle resident and business owner it is time to say enough to the City Council.

Please build them prefab homes with my tax dollars. They need shelter not campsites.

This proposed legislation is simply an attempt to do something for the sake of doing something, with no thought to the unintended consequences and perverse incentives that it would create.

Remember to vote out the Mayor and all the Council people who support placing homeless people in our parts and open spaces which are meant for all people to to enjoy in a safe, needle free, without mentally unstable people leaving behind garbage and using the plants, walking paths and bushes as an outdoor toilet
