You city council people are not representing the seattle public that voted you into office. You've made a number mistakes on the homeless issue and if you vote yes on this latest one, you can be assured that you will not receive either my support or vote the next time you are up for re-election.

I think the city council members should offer their spare bedrooms, rec rooms, garages and yards as shelter for the homeless if they are so altruistically inclined as to offer public lands.

Its absolutely ridicules that city parks and sidewalks be used for homeless encampments. We pay taxes to enjoy and utilize city parks, not to provide homeless encampments. Its a blight to our city, its a public health issue. I am enraged that our city officials are proposing this.

I live in Edmonds but use the parks in Seattle frequently.

This is NOT the solution. Strongly OPPOSED. This would remove safe green spaces for families and all in Seattle...REALISTICALLY. We must pay for housing/services to address this complex issue.

Please send me the home address for the mayor so, if enacted, I can gather all the human feces and dirty needles from my lawn left by the homeless and have it moved to his house. Yes, disgusting. So is this potential law.

Please do not vote for this bill. I do not want our neighborhoods and city park to become home to the city's homeless. You were elected to provide representation to the taxpayers in your district. Please uphold your responsibilities. If you vote in favor of this bill, you will never receive my vote.

Why should we the tax payers have to see this in our parks ? Where does the mayor get off inviting this blight to our city?

This is a passive solution that does nothing to help the homeless.

The proposal is a band aid at best. The city cannot currently manage and maintain current sites. This will only get worse if the city opens up even more space. Come up with operational and funded solutions instead of hiding it in affordable housing language that helps noone.

Ill founded piece of legislation that does nothing to solve the issue and concerningly will lead to other issues that will affect the safety and health of the public, not least children who enjoy the beauty of the city parks and open spaces. It would make the homeless problem worse, lead to greater levels of crime and resulting public anger and represent a significant step for this growing city, casting a poor light on the progressive nature of the councillors and citizens. Furthermore, a similar proposal failed in Portland.

It isn't often that I disagree with ACLU, however this is a temporary solution that threatens the safety of homeless individuals, and creates a public threat to Seattle's young children and families. I also support paying more taxes to support homeless and provide affordable housing. How can the City prosper from our current development boom? This needs to be part of the solution too.

This is more a plan to push the homeless out of sight than to help them, and the cost is our increasingly precious green space.

Please take reasonable action to support our homeless with long term solutions to get sustainable housing. Living in a park is not solving the homeless problem!

Please stop this insanity. It's a public health and safety issue. They need a permanent temp housing location. NOT our Parks and Greenbelts! And sidewalks.
This is the WORST PROPOSAL EVER!

Please protect our public parks and have more shelters for the homeless.
Thank you for helping.
