Housing First is the best solution. Another campground is only temporary. Check out Houwing First.

The city must compel the homeless to enter into established shelters. The City of Seattle is turning into a DUMP. Vote this council and MAYOR MURRAY OUT OF OFFICE!

This is not solving the problem, you are making it easier for them to stay homeless. Moving them into our neighborhoods is not the answer!

Without having researched the issue in depth, it seems like a deferral to study the question is a fairly low-cost option.

Using parks is totally unacceptable. Build it and they will come!

Stop systematically destroying Ballard. Why are you allowing lobby groups to draft legislation? Isn't that your job and based on the input from a majority of your constituents?

Yes, the homeless population needs humane solutions. This isn't a viable one. It will drive all other park users away or at the least exacerbate safety and hygiene issues that are already building. The guilt of the privileged is no excuse to cede our city's publicly owned jewels. Try harder. Solutions are out there that don't punish the rest of us.

Let's focus on putting people in more secure and healthy living environments. People need a warm place to live and a sense of purpose. Please put resources towards that goal.

This bill does NOT solve any problem - but only enables and excuses crime. I don't know a single, sane person who thinks this is a good idea, and homelessness experts agree this is a bad bill!

As a Seattle tax payer our money is spent keeping parks maintained for all types of use. Camping, long term housing and drug use are NOT what the parks should be used for.

Parks are for the general public. That will change if this is allowed. It's not about the violence or aesthetics for me. A solution needs to be found, but this is not it.
