Teachers have a professional duty to present all sides of the discussion - not propaganda. Wearing a kefiya is being partisan

When my family ran from antisemitism in Russia in 1975, we thought we found a refuge. A caring , non-racist and safe country. And so it was. Until now. It’s a haven from persecution no more .

A teacher is no ordinary member of the public. As an educater, employed by the government, they carry onerous obligations and responsibilities, which clearly, he has breached.

At what point is the government going to step in and protect its citizens? This is very scary and very real.

It is a shame that 80 years after the Nazies came into power in Germany, the same thing is now happening in Australia. Misinformation and misleading public, in particular students by teachers who are misusing their power is a disgrace

It is a terribly offensive to me as a Australian who is also Jewish that a teacher in our public school system would show such blatant support for a murderous, barbaric terrorist group. He is aligning himself with this group of monsters, and calling for the murder of all Jewish Australians.

Teachers should not advocate for a brutal terrorist organisation that openly states its objective is to annihilate Jews globally, and has perpetrated atrocities such as those that occurred 7 October when they lead a rampaging mob of 1000’s of men murdering, torturing and raping civilians including babies, women and children

I am a a Psychologist and abide professionally by our code of ethics to do no harm. It doesn’t take a trained eye like my own to know what harm looks like. This teacher is promoting terrorism and is clearly not only a danger to the psychological well being of Jewish students at his school but to the reputation of the Education Department as a whole. Sopportino HAMAS means that this teacher supports not only the annihilation of Israel but also the murder of Jews worldwide. If this teacher is not dismissed and the matter referred to the police immediately then it can only be concluded that the Education Department has failed in its moral and ethical duty to protect its’ students from danger. It’s time to take a stand against all teachers who don’t condemn HAMAS and who blindly spread the historically misinformed trope that Israel is a white colonialist country, an apartheid state and is committing genocide. These are falsehoods and risk traumatising and alienating Jewish students and making them more at risk of being separated out and bullied.

As a retired teacher, I am appalled how teachers are allowed to give biased information to young minds. Clear thinking and debating should be put back into the Curriculum.
