The developer withdrew the application for Ralph Talbot Street and the project is officially dead. It was a long road for all of us but we protected our neighborhood. Keep your eyes open to make sure this stays settled.

Final supporters
In regards to the proposed Chapter 40B project at 345 Ralph Talbot Street, We the neighbors are opposed to this project being approved in our R-1 single family neighborhood. We share the many concerns of our neighbors; we are very concerned about this development in our neighborhood for a number of reasons. We the undersigned, are concerned citizens who urge our leaders to act now, Ralph Talbot Street is a busy street; this property abuts an established residential neighborhood of single-family homes. This property is currently zoned as an “R1,” and this project is completely out of character for the neighborhood. It would certainly change the look and feel of the neighborhood and would almost certainly affect property values in the area.

Seeing the momentum grow is heavier than I expected because the fight against this development is truly exhausting. I am worn down by the process but seeing this level of support keeps me going for another day. We have more work ahead of us.

Does not fit in with our Housing Production Plan, Is not transit oriented and simply exacerbates the mistakes made in the past by allowing hodgepodge development all over Town. Tax dollars in exchange for changing the character of an R-1 neighborhood? No Thanks.
It would be one thing if it was zoned for this type of development. It is not and an allowance for a variance in this situation would set up for other such developments in the area which would change the character of the street. I have lived on Ralph Talbot St for approximately 49 years and feel such a development would have a major impact on the character of the area. Let's hope this does not go through.
developer should not be able to skirt local control..especially in an already heavily traveled state road. there is an elementary school that will require the kids to dodge more cars coming onto the heavy congested road currently. not a good site-especially when original developer was denied as two residential lots were two small--how can 12 units be approved?
Grew up right there, still have family in neighborhood. Maybe 1 or 2 homes on that lot. Not a place for multiple condo’s! Traffic is ridiculous, and personally been hit right there and hit someone when i was a kid- not to mention the nice man that was killed at end of Chisholm Rd!!! Waaay to busy to add more cars. Also, wonderful close neighborhoods there, dont need group of strangers hanging around!
This development is out of character for the area and will only contribute more traffic to an already congested roadway, especially with an elementary school nearby.
There is already too much traffic on Ralph Talbot.
Do not develop here. This neighborhood should stay single family homes. Ralph Talbot is already a heavily traveled road, and our children’s safety should come first. We don’t want a mult family dwelling here.

I don't oppose low-income housing. I only oppose such a high-population-density development being sited in an "R1" zone.
