We, the undersigned, note with concern that ticket touts are already selling Rugby World Cup tickets, not yet released to the general public, at 23 times face value price.
We therefore call on the government to designate the Rugby World Cup as an ‘event of national significance’ so that tickets can only be resold at face value to fans through approved vendors as per the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

I truly never imagined that so many people felt this same frustration about tournament pricing. This momentum belongs entirely to the fans who decided that fair access is worth fighting for.

tickets are far too expensive as it is and out of reach of the ordinary supporter don't let touts get hold of them and make it impossible.
I would like to see ligislationin favour of true fans, and againstr ticket tts not just in rugby but at all such events
The actions by "ticket touts" in cornering the market for tickets and then selling them at inflated prices (often before they have possession) is highly detrimental in allowing genuinely interested and supportive fan (both in sport and the arts) from attending and supporting events, especially those such as the World Cup and helps create an undercurrent of crime and crime related involvement which not only results in tickets being exchanged at grossly inflated prices, and with it the lack of "fan" segregation" but also opens the door to the fraudulent selling of none-existent or counterfeit tickets..
Even egg-chasers deserve to watch the sport of their choice without being taken for a ride. Re-selling of tickets should be outlawed full stop.
People who are caught illegally selling tickets should be made to do community service as well as forfeiting their ill gotten gains to a Charitable cause .
Please allow everybody access to tickets.

We MUST act now to end parasitical secondary ticketing. This isn't 'enterprise' culture, it's exploitation on an industrial scale.
