Stop changes to the restrictions for harvesting Wild Steelhead

ODFW abuses it’s regulatory power. Another bureaucracy that must be put in check. Administrative law in many accounts is not lawful, but an abuse of power.

Leave it alone. It’s a great fishery the way it is. Maybe increase the hatchery fish.

It sure seems funny that the Environmentalists are also Evolutionists, you would think that the fish will evolve to survive on there own with very little interference from groups with there only agenda is to keep people from enjoying what God has given us. there is nothing wrong with the way things are , So leave it alone

As far as I know, ODFW should be the ones to decide if the harvest of wild steelhead is warranted. They employ professional biologists to determine whether the wild stocks of steelhead are healthy or not. Let them do their job!

Dont change the regs. Maybe bump up the broodstock program so more people will release the wild one because there would be plenty of hatchery fish to keep.

Fish have been a big part of; not only our tribal ceremonies but, our way of survival for the Karuk Tribe for thousands of years.

As long as you up the hatchery program. We see no reason for changes in the laws!!

I am an outfitter guide and think that the retention of these fish should be left up to us as an individual. How can we tell our children that just caught their first fish that they have to release their first ever trophy! How can we tell the old man who has been fishing here his entire life that he can’t keep the only fish he catches all year. If the biologists say that there is a problem with the fishery and that the reason for restrictions so be it! Let the individual make their own decision one way or the other!

If we can't keep the great number of at least one wild steelhead a year then do a better job with the hatcheries and make sure to clip 95 percent of them
