You'll only have to pay more later to support them when they have worse health. They've supported and worked for the state diligently, don't cast them aside like this.

I am shocked that this decision has been made. I was hired in 1970 and for almost five decades I served as a professor at the University in College Park. I think the state should be embarrassed by this action.

Coverage of medication was a benefit that was promised to MD state employees even after retirement. This is a breach of trust and is not acceptable.

It is completely unfair to those who were hired before July 2011 and at the time promised with this benefit.
