Ridiculous that they keep hiking these rates. Were basically paying for parking spaces that arent even maintained half the time. Stop treating us like cash cows just cause we live here.

As a public property that is funded from state and federal taxes, I'm more than a little surprised that the prices have gone up again this year. After notifiying KBTV in writing about the safety concerns concerning the sidewalk issue to the long term parking, it was finally rectified after 3 years. They chose not to remove the snow on this sidewalk and instead posted a very expensive sign instead stating "Sidewalk Closed". Only after bringing it to the attention of the Chief of Airport Operations and stating that we would take it to the City of Burlington, they finally started to plow this sidewalk. I believe the head of Burlington Airport Operations is making these decisions at his/her own whim and not giving us sufficient information to warrant this increase in costs. Especially when other airport employees are roughly paying HALF the rate we are. In addition, the long-term parking lot is NOT plowed regularly like the short-term parking lot and several "close" parking spots have been barricaded off in the long-term parking lot. Those spots did not need to be blocked off when there is several other spots the snow could easily go and not provide a hinderance to the long-term parkers.

I hope we can come to a reasonable outcome, otherwise I will find parking elsewhere. Thank you to those who got this ball rolling!

The fee is too steep for an airline employee who serves the same location. We bring the business to you and you are trying to profit off of us while doing so!

Ms. Jones, If Burlington Airport Administration wants to charge "on par" with other airports, then please provide adequate "on par" services:  Covered, secured parking with safe access via adequate lighting, cleared sidewalks, and adequate snow removal. Discrimination against one group due to perceived company reimbursement or ability to pay is unacceptable by a city establishment. It may also be against the law to discriminate by charging different fees for the same services. I was unaware that airport employees paid substantially less for the same parking. This discrimination is unacceptable and does not reflect kindly on the Burlington Airport or the City. I formally request that you refund me the difference between the $300 I paid for the 2014 BTV airport crew parking fee and the annual fee you are charging airport employees.  Sincerely, Lindsey Wild Sent from my Verizon Wireless 4G LTE Smartphone -------- Original message -------- From: Kristin Jones  Date:01/28/2014 9:58 AM (GMT-05:00)  To:[email protected],[email protected],[email protected],[email protected],[email protected],[email protected],[email protected],[email protected],[email protected],[email protected],[email protected],[email protected],[email protected],[email protected],[email protected],[email protected],[email protected],[email protected],[email protected],[email protected],[email protected],[email protected],[email protected],[email protected],[email protected],[email protected],[email protected],[email protected],[email protected],[email protected],[email protected],[email protected],[email protected],[email protected],[email protected],[email protected],[email protected],[email protected],[email protected],[email protected],[email protected],rhmez@burlin

Whether we do our job at the actual airport or fly out of it to our bases we are still airline employees and this should be treated the same as the others to park there. In uniform I am constantly asked questions by the traveling public while at BTV I am polite and I answer them. I don't charge them or say I don't work here go to airport management with your questions.

Why are we paying more for less? Where is the shuttle and security?

I thoroughly agree. I also brought up the fact to the office on how much the rate has gone up. We, as crew members, should be charged no more than employees who work at the BTV A/P.
