I don’t even live very close to the tracks and I can hear the horn. I can’t imagine what it’s like for the families that live close to the tracks.

If people can stop for traffic lights, I don't see why they can't stop for railroad crossing flashing lights and blockade arms without ultra loud whistles blaring

8-14 times doesn't seem accurate. It's definitely closer to 20 and certainly over 20 times per day during the summer. Most of it seems to be between 11pm - 3am. Sometimes it wakes me up and I live 2 blocks from the tracks on O'Loughlin Drive in SP. I can't imagine what the people on Diana drive go thru. The tracks are literally right behind their backyards.
