I just learned that if our government quit printing the dollar bill and only used the dollar coins it would save billions of dollars! Coins last far longer than bills do which would decrease the governments currency printing cost. Fewer and fewer people are carrying cash, and those that do can handle 4 extra coins in their pocket. It's my belief that people will embrace the dollar coin if they only knew that it would save billions in taxpayer dollars. We should send the message to Washington to save money where they can and quit printing the dollar bill.
