Worldstar has been popularized through their Instagram account, where the company posts videos sent by other users on a daily basis. Worldstar's account currently has 16.2 million followers. The problem with this account is that the content posted is usually very inappropriate. There are many kids who follows this account, and they are being exposed to awful behaviour at such a young age. Worldstar is now known as a gateway to fame, as a viral video generates a lot of money for the company and the user. In order to become "viral", people are posting videos of themselves fighting, stealing, swearing, and other forms of mischief in order to get famous. People who view these videos mimic the bad behaviour of previous users who became viral. This is a huge problem, especially because children are now copying this bad behaviour. An example of this is the newest user to get famous off Worldstar "Lil Tay". Lil Tay is a nine year old girl who holds money and swears into the camera. A nine year old child should not be acting like that. If this trend continues, we will be witnessing more children acting up in order to become famous.
