The need for a red light at the entrance to Lake Conroe Village is more prevalent than it was 4 yrs when my family became a part of this community. As a grandparent of school age children who daily ride a school bus to and from school I feel it would be unsafe for the bus driver and the student's lives to be put at risk by having to make a uturn in the hours of some of the heaviest traffic as early as 6 am or as late as almost 6pm. Please reconsider your decision to plus a median in front of this community so our families can remain safe and the children are not put in undue danger.

We need a stop light not a median. Out of all the neighborhoods on 105 there is not one neighborhood that can only do a right turn. Other neighborhoods are able to do left and right turns. We need a light! Turning right on 105 then doing a u turn is not safer!

Please reconsider this raised median, it will only cause more problems than good.

Fire your DOT engineer who decided against a red light and decided that a heavily populated neighborhood should lose left out turns westbound in the direction of the nearest elementary schools, grocery stores, and retail locations. This in turn causes the residents to travel east, encouraging u-turns and school bus turn arounds at an even heavier congested section of the highway. This backwards plan is short sighted at best, if not down right injudicious and irresponsible. No doubt the sam eengineer will in the future suggest 'No U-Turn' signs as the solution to the deadly situation they've created, thus pushing the u-turn actions even further into the congested regions on Hwy 105. The hooded left-in lane replacing the center lane will result in west bound traffic on Hwy 105 being impeded by left in traffic that does not fit in the alloted turning lane due to the hood eating away space that would otherwise fit left in traffic in the center lane. This is at the bottom of a steep hill where drivers on Hwy 105 traveling 55 mph west will not see the impeded lane until it is too late to brake and will result in an increse of rear end accidents on Hwy 105. Everything about this plan not only increases the likelyhood of deadly accidents, but also spreads them across a 1 mile section and into heavier congested areas of the highway.

DoT sucks if they think that eliminating u-turns will fix the problem.

Continued plans will result in increased traffic accidents. A light is a must.

I live in the Lake Conroe Village, forcing a right is just pushing more traffic down the road without an adequate area to safe turn back around. It would be much simpler and safer to install a light. This is a long stretch of road ways between hills. A light would make this area safer to travel by not only providing a break for cross traffic but also by giving an additional layer of road traffic management. Then there is also the cost of the proposed project. It would be much more cost effective to place lights and vehicle sensor loops in place than it would be to construct a rised median along that stretch. The labor involved alone is a gross misuse of tax dollars.

There needs to be a light for our neighborhood and not a raised median. Just about every neighborhood on 105 but our and one down by Walmart don’t have a light.
