The plans to deny a traffic signal at the intersection of Lake Conroe Village Blvd and Hwy 105 and instead install a raised median for left hand turns lane onto Lake Conroe Village Blvd from Hwy105 while eliminating left turns (westbound) from Lake Conroe Village Blvd to Hwy 105 must be halted. This traffic barrier will require all westbound traffic to first turn right (eastbound) and conduct a U-turn in order to travel west. This direction (west) provides access to schools, retail goods and services, banks, healthcare providers and various other services that are west of Lake Conroe Village. This change in traffic patterns will cause impromptu U-turns and result in an inevitable increase in accidents at an intersection which has seen previous serious accidents. The traffic study cited to justify the denial of a traffic signal at this intersection is dated and stale at best. This TXDOT study fails to consider the exponential increase in population of Lake Conroe Village as well as the huge increase in traffic on Hwy 105. We are petitioning for this project to be halted until more current study can be conducted. The solution is a traffic light at Lake Conroe Village Blvd and Hwy 105.

A light would be much more logical. We are a high volume neighborhood and a median will just create unnecessary traffic jams in the Eastbound lane. It would benefit Lake Conroe Forest as well.
Signing this petition to stop the no left turn out of my subdivision. It’s dangerous enough as it is, making that a law will put our school buses with our children in danger
With one fatality here and everything to the left, it makes more sense for the community to have a stoplight and not a median. A median will not lower the chances of a collision as much as a light and wouldn't make sense to keep u-turning because you would not be able to make a left.
It would become a race to get across the traffic to then UTurn at april sound. This would cause more accidents and would this affect the bus drivers and routes......
tx dot needs to update their study. The section of hwy 105 from Mccaleb road to Walden road is littered with serious traffic accidents. How anyone thinks that denying this community and travelers a light at that neighborhood is ridiculous. Creating a u turn on an already dangerous stretch of road is pure insanity.
This will cause more harm than good. And will cost more money than just putting a light up.

I live within this niegborhood, this intersection must have a traffic light, all this does is move the accidents up the hill, this will make it very difficult to get to grocery stores, pharmacy doctors etc..
