In the language of Fur from the land of Darfur, which means, "Across the Fur River, " (Molefi Kete Asante, 2013)
To date according to www.safedarfur.org 300,000 men, women and children have been murdered and 3 million have been displaced!!!
Many of us no longer think of the war that continues in the Sudan. However, our fellow Afrikans endure bombing, starvation and other forms of abuse on a daily basis. As the conflict in South Sudan gains in intensity, world leaders have urged the feuding parties to find a political resolution to the crisis,The death toll is mounting amid fighting between forces loyal to President Salva Kiir Mayardit and followers of his former deputy, Dr Riek Machar. We should cease standing by while our Afrikan family is slaughtered due to conflict between political leader! The people of the Sudan have been suffering for a long time and generations of Sudanese families exist in unstable, fearful households, disrupted by violence, racism and forced refugee statusvia displacement from their homes.
