Build all the houses on land that has planning permission but which has been 'banked,' before giving any more planning permission for new houses. Speed up probate to allow houses to enter into the market faster. Where is the water to come from for all these new developments? When will it be appreciated that the South East is full up!

I strongly support protecting our land from further development before it is too late & all our countryside & wildlife is lost forever.

Plenty of brownfield sites to use, without destroying the natural habitat.

I moved here almost 10 years ago to be nearer my son and the changes I have seen can only be described as catastrophic. The neighbourhood I live in on the outskirts of Uckfield has changed from a quiet, friendly community to a busy, overcrowded, unfriendly and unsafe area. I cannot get a doctors appointment, I gave up my car because I could no longer find parking in my road and the roads are so busy I do not feel safe driving anymore, there have been two cannabis factories found in the now empty pub in my road and I regularly see 'dealing' going on in the village hall car park. I used to love this place but now, if I could afford to I would move in a heartbeat. If the housing being built was priced so local young people could afford them and the infrastructure was upgraded to cope with the enormous numbers of people I would accept that it was progress but the developers can't even sell the houses they have built, instead they sell off property to London councils so they can get rid of their problem residents, it just doesn't make any sense. Please stop this dreadful and irreversible damage you are doing to our beautiful green spaces and murdering our wildlife, once their habitat is destroyed there is no going back. Irresponsible, wanton destruction is not the way forward.

The impact on daily life around our Blackboys village is very noticeable. A forward-planned approach is needed

The sad fact is no one takes any notice of local people's views. We live here so no the impact over development has as we have to live with it on a daily basis

We have an affordable housing crisis and more new builds will not solve that, in fact it will make things worse by causing flooding in existing properties. We need green spaces to soak up flooding, absorb carbon and provide places for pollinators to breed and feed so that our crops stay productive. We should be adopting an brownfield first approach and moving strongly on empty property to refurb and repurpose. Trying to meet unachievable targets set by a government clutching at the straws of endless growth in a finite system will only make things worse overall. We need our local councils to stand up for their citizens and be bold when dealing with housing targets.

No more developments, enough is enough, we have a right to live a peaceful life and live with nature. WDC is taking that away from us and creating a stressful, polluted and noisy life style for it's residents with very little green space left and as for the infrastructure it is apauling and our villages and towns were never designed to cope with such a high population and everything that comes with it. Developers are walking all over us and laughing all the way to the bank without any remorse for the destruction of our county.

Our countryside is more important than building houses for illegal immigrants. Grow a pair Wealden and don’t kowtow to this Marxist government any more.
