Please stop the developer in the seminary. We need to have a logical and environmental approach to new development at our neighborhood.

The project is undefined, non-compliant with all applicable planning and zoning requirements, and it is premature to conduct the EIR.

There is absolutely no way that a project of this size can come to this community without an enormous and negative social and economic impact on actual members of the community. Clearly, though, there is strength in numbers as far as defeating it.

I do not agree with the plans as they have been too nebulous re: the school, number of low income housing and senior housing units.

Over the past few years, we have not received the appropriate attention from either NCLH or local officials regarding our disputes relating to North Coast Land Holdings Community Plan Amendment/Master Amendment/Precise Development Plan/Use Permit Amendment/Tentative Map (P1490). And so, the October 30 meeting is so critically important to the community.
We should all be prepared to witness a worst case scenario, (a) the Planning Commission will not be interested in our concerns/complaints. Why? An EIR process takes time and the Commission must begin to move this thing along. {Note: An $85 million investment is going to get special treatment despite our arguments.}
(b) Our representative Supervisor has coddled us for the past couple years and continues to assure us that our grumbling will actually result in a long-awaited sit-down with representatives of NCLH for a community planning session. {Note: I have tried to sit down with NCLH for the past couple years on open area fire mitigation plans…we have never met.}
As noted in Riley Hurd’s excellent communiques to members of the SNA/SCA audience and officials at the county level, NCLH has violated the very structure of the historical master plans that make Strawberry what it is: Noncompliance with the SCP and the lack of community-based involvement in the process; the proposed change of use by exchanging unbuilt student housing for market rate homes; and development proposed on lands designated for open space. These violations are well documented!
What is the thinking that allows NCLH to continue their development process against the will of the people, the Oct 17, 2016 “deny” request from the SDRB and out right violations to the Strawberry Community Plan, Master Plan, amendment, Precise Development Plan, Use Permit, Vesting Tentative Map, and Tree Removal Permit? Are they listening?
SNA/SCA might consider a fall back plan…be prepared to take action in the form of a lawsuit against NCLH for specific vio

You should simply refuse to consider any action on this property until all illegal uses are halted and the applicant disgorges all monies received to date from those illegal uses.
