I strongly support this petition. Renal failure from skin bleaching has claimed many lives.
More knowledge should be provided as concerning the dangers of these products. Proper legislation and control of the procurement of these products should be addressed as well.
The ignorance of the people is real and doctors are blamed for not doing enough. Regulations and public enlightenment will really help push this. Some (many actually) do this knowingly, but may still l be helped.
Preserve that which is God-given and beautiful. Emancipate yourself from European standards of beauty that causes disregard for our dark skin, and our hair.
Embrace your melanin! Choose health over skin filters. You are beautiful just the way you are!
We must put end to this colonial practice across the Diaspora.
