It is not a school’s position to teach our children about sexuality, it is a parent’s job period!

Keep the focus on math and reading. My kids are there to learn basics not to be confused by school staff about personal life stuff. Keep it out of the classroom.

We have lived in the north Muskegon school district for thirty two years . All four of our girls went there and we considered North Muskegon our home and a wonderful place to be proud of. I tell anyone now who is thinking about moving into the area about how destructive the climate is becoming. It’s a real shame. I have also subbed at NM for about fifteen years. I am no longer signed up to do this. Please go back to the conservative school that you used to be.

Sexuality has no place in public education. Stop over sexualizing everything.

I wholeheartedly agree with allowing parents to opt in instead of opt out of surveys and content. Parents deserve the full and complete control and decisions in teaching their kids about sex topics and gender if they so choose. If a student chooses ON THEIR OWN to discuss without coersion to a school member, that is their choice. These are sensitive topics not everyone is comfortable with - especially kids. They are inundated with sexual messages on social media, on tv, in movies, and also now at school. Where can they be safe? What if your child was asked these survey questions by a school janitor or some random person on Instagram? Would you be concerned and think it was inappropriate? Yes. So why is it ok for a school? Who is getting this data? What is it used for? Are you receiving money or funding off the children's answers? I certainly hope the students aren't being squeezed for information for profit. School is no longer a wholesome environment for children. Schools and teachers used to not tolerate peer pressure and now they actively partake in it. We saw this during covid with the vax videos, stickers, posts, etc. Shameful. It is in no way appropriate for a school environment to push sexual ideas, offer books that are close to porn in libraries and classrooms as some schools have been found to be doing (ex. Mona Shores), and push social/political agendas. What once was appropriate basic sex ed - about preventing STDs, male/female parts, and how to prevent pregnancy has now morphed into something much more and become over the top inappropriate to the point I'd call it borderline sexual grooming and coersion for a political/social agenda. Many do not agree with the vast amount of time and influence the schools are spending with others' children manipulating, brainwashing, and confusing them -sometimes very early on about their gender. Children do not deserve this. That's not why they go to school. They even celebrate them with stickers, t-shirts, unusu

We are thankful for our small community school, but realise that even they are not excluded from harmful and immoral actions by some leaders. We will protect our children in all areas. N. Muskegon was not like this before. Not to this degree. We will come together to keep our schools free from corrupt practices and direct OUR children in the right manner. Academics has always been no 1 until now. Let's protect our children.

Nothing hidden ever…period. This is an over reach on the part of public education into an area that they have no business invading. Parents and parents alone should be dictating these standards and schools should stick to teaching the core tenets of education and not promoting a progressive agenda.
