The council's approach to parking fees as a revenue maker, rather than a community facility, is without question contributing to the 'death by a thousand cuts' in the high street. This is at a time when other nearby towns are seeing a resurgence in shoppers following investment in facilities available. I have only lived here for a year but it is the worst approach I have known and its backed up by outsourced enforcers who show no reasonable judgement of situations but simply book at every and any opportunity.
