It's no wonder many people who need substantial shopping, are taking themselves to large supermarkets where parking is free. For those who want to do small shopping or visit the bank, post office etc, parking for short periods is becoming increasingly difficult & too expensive. This will not regenerate our town. . if that is what the council want, without making a lot more effort to encourage people to use the high street shops. Many elderly people cannot carry heavy bags, if the use buses, their car can be a vital resource for them, or having a family member help them with day to day shopping. Disabled people with blue badges are now being charged to park in the Spires, how civic minded is that?

Please save our town ! Reduce the cost to park and business rents ! I never come to Barnet now as there is nothing there except the present and coffee bean worth coming in for ! Barnet has been ruined by town planners , gready conglomerates and ridiculous parking . I used to visit frequently now I'd rather drive to St Albans and Enfield !
