Please take the advice of the realtors of NWA since they are the experts in real estate and property values.

The role of city ordinances in the design of housing should be solely limited to the construction of safe and sound building practices, and what's needed to maintain historically designated neighborhoods. Outside of that, how a property owner chooses to design and orient their home should not be dictated by the city.

This Mandate is not in the best interest of making Homes affordable for Fayetteville residents. This mandate is also a good example of Government Overreach. It is my opinion that the city leaders in Fayetteville should focus more on reducing their crime rate and less on bureaucratic nonsense.

this is an infringement of personal property rights. The city shouldn't have a say in how we build our houses, beyond basic safety codes

A garage located at the rear of a property improves the curb appeal of a property, but is difficult to do on the lots available here which are diminishing in size it seems. Garage size and orientation should always be the home owners' choice!

I'm sure there will be situations where this will be applicable such as row houses, condos, etc. This should be addressed as it is now through the approval process and NOT a blanket mandate for the entire city.

Let's let HOMEOWNERS decide on garage number and orientation. Homeowners are paying thousands of dollars for this investment - it's THEIR choice. How ridiculous!

This might make sense in certain types of planned communities and in that regard the new resident or home owner would be aware of the stipulations. I have multiple drivers in my household and I don’t want all of the cars parked outside. This decreases the value of my home and increases the chance of a car being broken into. You are taking away my rights and my choice by creating this limitation which will only deter others from moving to Fayetteville and will affect the overall economy. As a small business owner, we are strongly opposed to this limitation.
