Some one is wanting money. This will do no good for the "service" we should all be providing. The only thing it will do is create animosity toward the Board.

Continuing education is a racket, it is only a money making scheme and bureaucracy. Just more fees and time wasted.

Our cemetery is non profit, run by volunteers and has been since 1892. We know how to conduct our business without having to take a class on how to conduct our business.Hey we are volunteers and we are doing a fine job!!!

As an elected Mayor of a small town that has two cemeteries this would add an unneeded burden on my office. It is difficult to find volunteers now, requiring continuing education requirements would make it even more difficult.

I feel continuing education is redundant. We go through so much continuing education as it is adding more would take so much away from what we are here to do which is serve our families. Besides the fact there are so many people in the industry who don't hold a license to begin with, what education would they be continuing?

I feel it is unnecessary for continued education. Working with our families at our locations we continue training everyday.

Although education obviously is good idea especially to keep up with current law changes and admin. rulings ,That burden should fall upon the licensee and owner/ operators , not the OSCMB. They are not educators by any means.
If indeed the Legislators (who really this is coming from) think health licensees should have continuing education maybe they should look having some type of education before a license is issues. How can you have continuing education for someone who has/had none to begin with. example. First call people who don't even have to be licensed to begin with. There's a lot more to this to have a something meaningful and substantial and no where close to having the OSCMB or Staff implement a legitimate program like this.

This will increase the challenge of finding willing volunteers to fill our leadership position at our church cemetery. The proposed law is a poor idea. I've been running cemeteries for 16 years and see no point in this bill for continuing education on behalf of the cemeteries or the funeral homes. I don't see the OMCB doing the job they need to now so why add more to their to do list that won't get completed.......

This Law is absolutely unnecessary. other than a few laws, nothing has changed in funeral service or embalming or digging graves in the past 50 years. If we didn't need it then, why do we need it now.

I am dual licensed in Washington and Oregon. I have paid my fees just to keep my license in good standing. I have no intention of moving back to Oregon. This will cause me to drop my license there as I see no need to ad more expense and time commitment. Our real continuing education comes from working in the trenches everyday serving those in need.

I am Dual licensed and find annual education is a waste of time. I was licensed in Washington and found it just a hinderance.
