This needs to be stopped our citizens of Nova Scotia don't want this poison sprayed on us it has been banned all over the world...why would our government think we are going to be able to handle all of the damage it is going to cause to our health care? Do we really need to remind the wankers we do not have the resources of doctors or nurses or even healthy hospitals to deal with our current problems of an aging population.
Pack Northern Pulp out of our province with all of their illegal environmental waste and look into renewable sustainable resources instead of continuously giving the villans what they want!

My mom has cancer. My aunt's had cancer. There is way more cancers in this time than previously. I feel chemicals and environmental issues are to blame.

This mill has been spewing out polluting poisonous emissions for years and still is going everyday killing more people with the cancer causing agents that pollute our atmosphere all over the province,When is it going to stop,and when will it be shut down completely.This is the only remedy that will stop this insanity !!

This should not even be a consideration! I vehemently oppose the use of glyphosate in any capacity in my province of Nova Scotia and in particular in my County of Halifax! No! No! No!

Being a cancer survivor I am appauled to know they are going to spray this poison again. Brookfield has a big cancer rate. I do not want my children or grand children worrying about if they may get cancer. STOP this spraying. It is not safe

There are so many more alternatives to forest management, sane alternatives, regenerative alternatives; that we would be doing ourselves, our environment, and future generations a horrid disservice if we were to allow Northern Pulp to spray glyphosate on our forests (our lungs!). Think of our children. Please do your best to do all in your power to prevent this from happening again. Thank you.

I thought we were supposed to be moving forward with these issues of polluting the environment, not going backwards. As usual, the rules don't seem to apply to big business.

Herbicides have no business in forestry .Pioneer hardwoods do not compete with softwoods for nutrients and water, in FACT their presence is beneficial for softwoods, offering many benefits ( like hosting nitrogen fixing bacteria ) and only briefly compete for light a couple months a year . Forest management in the maritimes is a hoax, based on greed and ignorance, and Irvings corruption of UNB , not science or employment opportunities . Science published this winter showed that conversion from mixedwood forests to conifer plantations is a driver of global warming, as conifer plantations reduce the cooling albedo effect more than they increase carbon absorbtion .If we managed our forests based on working with the ecology and maximizing employment, we would ban clearcuts, and harvest in a way that preserves ( not destroys) natural regeneration , expands employment skils,and doesn't degrade the forest. 60 years ago NS forests produced sawlogs for construction, 40 years ago, paper for short term use, and now we harvest chips to burn. that's not sustainable forestry, that is reducing the value of the forest for the next generation .Never has our forest production done more harm to the environment , and provided less benefit for Nova Scotians than today
