STOP the use of Glyphosate in Nova Scotia!

Stop this chemical use until long term randomized control studies prove its safety. This is our environment which ultimately affects our health. When is our government going to start to protect us and force responsible corporate stewartship?

I would rather give up every paper product I use (including toilet paper) than have Northern Pulp proceed with this absolutely wicked action. Northern Pulp needs to die...not our forests, animals, insects and people.

The legit research shows significant risk... the often quoted 'bought' research argues safety. Look to the work and statements of unbiased groups such as the World Heath Organization and the arguments that indicate significant risk are very compelling. This well may be seen in the future as the DDT of our time. ...and one cannot argue "the protection of jobs' here! More jobs are created with sustainable forest management than with the mono-culture clear cutting that will take place after spraying is complete. oh, and one more thought: a healthy and diverse forest is far less prone to wild fires! So, why are we even considering this a possible option? It's short sighted, environmentally devastating and puts the health of wildlife and humans at risk. Please listen to logic and stop this action.

Where is the government? There's no good reason for us to need a petition if anyone in power had any functioning brain cells.
