Glyphosates? Seriously? This shouldn't even be something we need to argue over!

In the late 50's to the mid 60's Agent Orange, a Herbicide based on the chemical TCDD is an abbreviation for 2,3,7,8-tetrachlorodibenzo- p -dioxin was tested at CFB Gagetown. Decades later the effects are still present and may be a factor in the maritimes having the highest rates of cancer in Canada. The county of Pictou has endured decades of pollution and toxic effluent leeching out from under Northern Pulp's paper mill, to allow them to spray glyphosate over half the province is unacceptable.

There is no reason to poison the people by spraying natural woods with a worldwide highly controversial and in many European countries forbidden pesticide simply for extra profit for Northern pulp.

The health of the people and the environment shoud be of more concern than the profits of a company. Sad that we have to fight for clean air, fresh water and soil that is not polluted with chemicals.

There is no need for this. The government of Nova Scotia should show good stewardship and prevent this chemical from being dumped into our soil and water.
