The spraying of this toxic herbicide over my homeland on Nova Scotia is unacceptable. Yes, we know the dose makes the poison and you claim you will monitor the spraying to make sure it's done properly to protect the health of people and the environment, but the fact is that there are too many variables for you to prevent herbicide drift, leaching into ground water, and you have not addressed the increased toxicity of Vision Max as a whole. The additional ingredients in this product beyond just
Glyphosate make it extremely toxic, as has been studied and documented. Stop this NOW.

Destroying productive woodland to create a conifer monoculture is dangerous meddling. Apart from the obvious risks to humans, wildlife and fish from the spraying, this is likely to create a situation where more and more spraying is required to prevent disease to the trees. Don't do it.

Sadly the Province of Nova Scotia doesn't accept electronic petitions. Petitions have to be on paper, with name, address, and signature. Hope this petition gives an indication on how much support you have, though.

Anyone in favor of this action is a fool, pure and simple. Concerns of jobs and economics are insignificant when sized up against the needs of our environment and the generations of OUR CHILDREN that will inhabit these areas in the future. It's despicable when these choices are made by a few people who will benefit -not suffer- from the consequences of these actions. It's wrong, it's criminal, and it's just another shame for humanity to endure! I'm so disheartened by my species. When will we learn?

For the love of all that is good and natural, don't do allow this spraying to happen! Please don't put profits ahead of the animals, insects, the water, and humans. Save the forests! Stop the spraying!

Please stop this spraying. It's going to have affects on all sorts of creatures - haven't we learned anything from the disastrous spraying that killed bees!

The approval of glyphosate is another disappointing example of the abandonment of the precautionary principle of environmental and human health.

This will kill fall tourism, kill trees whose leaves fertilize the limited topsoil feeding the rest of the forest, kill birds and animals through habitat loss, and potentially raise cancer rates dramatically - all to pander to a dying industry looking to make bigger profits before the gravy train shuts down. Oh - and the companies involved will no longer be able to claim sustainable forest practices, which will limit their markets to the bottom of the business chain...All I can say is "Who got paid?"
