AM2R was better than all but one of the official Metroid games, IMHO.

It's time to make our voice heard to Nintendo. AM2R was a great game, and it doesn't deserve to be shafted like that.

nintendo you are retarded. this is the best game since snes eras. i have not had any interest in your 3d era crap games nor much interest in your newer 2.5d side scrolling attempts. this guy actually made a great game. you have no idea how stupid it is for you to shun the project instead of embrace it. it makes me sick.

I've been a longtime user if Nintendo products, from the NES all the way to the Wii U. I was planning to get the new NX. But, if Nintendo wants to act like Nazis when it comes to their properties, I will gladly send my business elsewhere. All they do is release the same games with different level designs anyway. There hasn't been a significant update to Mario since Super Mario Galaxy, Zelda has followed the same formula since Link to the Past, and Metroid has been all but forgotten thanks to the lackluster Other M game. Nintendo was once the king of the mountain, but now they are just on borrowed time, and they know it.

Sega, Capcom, Valve, Bethesda, and many other companies have treated their fans better than this. Any notion that Nintendo has to do this is a bald-faced lie because all of the above companies have proven otherwise.

Nintendo is an overrated company. It's like Microsoft... nobody needs it nowadays. The latest Nintendo games sucked... the new Zelda will suck and the new NX is not interesting for me. I own an old NES and I *love* it. However even the "new" little NES with the 30 pre-installed games sucks because you can't install more games on it.
So Nintendo... where are you going? Your end is near! You won't get any more money from me!

I was raised on Nintendo products. I absolutely loved their IPs. Never got into Metroid until adolescence, but it has been one of my all time favorites since then. When I saw AM2R for this time, I honestly hoped and almost believed that Nintendo would just buy the game from its creator on completion, so that everyone would be happy. That's how amazing AM2R is. But instead, they decided to be just another greedy corporation... I really don't want to see Nintendo ruin themselves like this. Their historical and personal significance means too much to me.
