Fireworks are illegal, dangerous, and more than a nuisance. Are there other crimes and hugely important systematic problems that need to be addressed? Absolutely. But the fireworks are ridiculous and people have got to be considerate of each other. The larger problems will also be helped by people being more considerate of each other, more concerned with their neighbor’s wellbeing. I’ve lived in many places around the country which all have different regulations regarding the sale or use of fireworks, but I’ve never experienced anything remotely like this with fireworks going off randomly throughout a neighborhood from maybe 3:00 to at least 10:30 pm. I hope the people using them will realize—and care about—the degree to which this negatively affects much of the community.

The lawn at Stedman Elementary school was set on fire a few weeks ago due to the fireworks being out of control.

My dog has PTSD from the nightly fireworks. It would be so nice to have peace at night again.

It is not only excessive, it’s illegal, goes on at all hours, affects pets, humans, leaves trash in yards.

Please help us from living in a battle zone. Looking forward to moving out of this neighborhood for this reason. I feel like it’s animal abuse putting our cat and dog through this every single night.

Yesterday was tough. Started around 230 pm and went all the way till I went to bed. Returned from the mountains where it was peaceful to a neighborhood that sounded like a war zone.

They've started much earlier this year. And why at 2PM in the afternoon till after 11PM at night. I understand this is a low priority for our police department with all they must endure. Is there no negotiation point? It's no longer just a pop or two, it's a constant stream of pops that make me feel there are guns. Help!

Please stop the fireworks. They simply do more negative than positive for our neighborhood.
Also, disturbing the sleep of children ( and adults) in the neighborhood. This last weekend has been especially bad. It went on for hours and hours.
