Let's save fireworks for special events, like the Fourth of July and New Year's Eve.

Every year the fireworks seem to get louder, the season gets longer, and they go later in the evening. Please help put an end to the fireworks madness for the sake of early risers, parents of young kids, skittish dog owners, and most importantly our military vets who may have PTSD!

I am in Whittier and it has gotten ridiculous. We can't even open up our home in the evening as it is so loud.

It’s enough, it’s been a nightly occurrence since Memorial Day. EVERY. SINGLE. NIGHT. Like clock work starts around 9pm and goes until midnight sometimes 1am. I understand the 4th of July but even then the fireworks happen until the end of August. It’s disrupting a neighborhood and nothing is being done about it.

I’m a father of two in the neighborhood and generally let this slide but it has gotten way out of hand. It’s illegal and it’s being done in ear and eye shot of the police stations. This needs to end...

My dog freaks out at all the loud fireworks. Wish it weren't going on every night.

Both my dogs are visibly impacted by this occurring so often and for so long. Fireworks are for Independence Day not a nightly fun activity. Respect your neighbors and protect your neighborhoods!

The only one not stressed out in our house is a 17-year old cat who can't hear. Stop the madness!

I live in North City Park and this is an annual stressor for my family and pets. I don't want to take away occasional fun but the problem is excessive and disturbing of the peace.

My dog is terrified of fireworks. She huddles under my bed shaking. Sometimes her digestive track stops working due to the noise of the illegal fireworks and I have to take her in to get it restarted. It costs $500-$800 each time.

It's gone too far. I understand a little celebration, even thought that's illegal. Mortars going off is too much. It's beyond annoying. Our baby keeps waking up crying and dogs are afraid and shaking under our bed. I'm to the point I feel like cops are trying to let a little lawlessness prevail so the public appreciates them more or something. I hope I'm wrong.
