For all the idiots who have comments about how to “fix” our dogs or ourselves so that we model not being annoyed at firework, u r selfish. I love fireworks and only now with 2 dogs that are terrified to the point they won’t go out after the eat their evening meal . They won’t even go in the back yard. So we need to stop this BS about getting over the nightly fireworks by stopping them with tremendous fines and jail time.

I have two young children, two very scared pets, and one husband who sleeps a lot because he works 12 hour graveyard shifts, and the fireworks are out of control. Not only do they sound like loud fireworks, which any time other than 4th of July is frustrating, but this has been going on the last couple months and these fireworks sound like explosions. They have shaken my home. I love my neighborhood. It’s not necessarily safe, some shootings have gone out right outside my door. I’m used to crazy stuff happening. But this is ridiculous. It’s disrupting the tiny piece of normalcy I have managed to create for my family over the past few months. It’s completely out of hand.

It’s more than the last two months. There was fireworks starting New Year’s Eve and are least once a week since Covid shut everything down. It’s been significantly worse since then.

Please do something about the constant barrage of fireworks. It’s disturbing sleep and is startling for humans and pets. Our dog is so frightened she has turned into a trembling, fearful creature we don’t even recognize. Surely, this is disturbance of the peace.

Montbello neighborhood has fireworks going off every day from 6pm-1 am it’s driving us crazy and our poor Dogs are having terrible anxiety attacks

Fireworks are illegal, period. They’re a nuisance and frighten animals & humans alike. I’ve called the police twice regarding fireworks disrupting our lives and potentially endangering lives - doesn’t help. It’s time to curb this illegal act for good.

Our dogs are terrified to go out side at night and spend the whole night shaking and hiding in the house. Last time they were still going off at 3am. It’s not ok.
