Mickleover is becoming more and more congested, our schools are full and it feels like we live in a town instead of the leafy suburb it once was.

This 300 homes is the thin end of the wedge. We know the developer wants to put 1500 plus on the extended site and it's not in the local plan!

Mickleover siimply does not have the infra structure (gas, electric, sewage, schools, GP surgeries, and shops to cope any additional housing that the Newhouse Farm devleopers are proposing.

This development is not sustainable without considerable expenciture on infrastructure which is not being made available. Also the proposed access roundabout is very dangerous.

having lived in Mickleiver for the last 36 years any new houses that need to built must include, new schools and GP surgeries. Mickleover is at bursting point with its current faculties. My wife is not able to sign to a doctor in Mickleover as nobody is taking new patients even though she works for the NHS. Her closest doctors is Chellaston so adding a 300 new homes is going to make it worse.

local infrastructure not able to cope now let alone with new houses. not enoyghvgreen space would be left around mickleover if developments were to happen. traffic a nightmare now new houses would add significantly to this and not add anything

This site was originally ruled as unsuitable and that has not changed !!! Mickleover is already struggling re. schools, g. p surgeries local road congestion at peak times etc. etc.

Come on people power. Prevent Mickleover sprawl. This housing development is initially for 300 dwellings, but the developer's plans are to increase this to 1500 dwellings, with a single access onto the Etwall Road, via a new island, to be created on the existing dual carriageway.
Do you really want this? Can you imagine the extra traffic at peak times?
Also, what about the impact on schools, doctors, dentists etc. Also, our local Tesco and petrol station struggle at peak times now to cope, let alone with another 3000+ cars.
