We live in front of the mining and it is noisy at times and also puts a smell out at points. I worry about my well water and most of the times I use bottle water. I moved to the country for the beauty of the land and the mining company has came in and destroyed that look, this needs to stop they strip our land and leave us with nothing, even the animals have no place. We find them dead on the road or on other properties to find a safe haven.

Please do not allow this! We all deserve clean drinking water. On the heels of the disastrous sink hole from Mosaic, I can't believe this is being considered!

As we look to a future made uncertain by climate change and ecological destruction, adding mining projects that harm the earth is the last thing we should be doing. The state of Florida has much to lose by opening new phosphate mines and very little to gain. As a resident of Bradenton, I vehemently oppose any mining projects in the area as well as any other short-sighted endeavors that neglect the health of the planet.

What are our legislatures thinking? This is old technology. The risks far outweigh the benefits to anyone. Stop killing florida. We live here.

I am moving to the Manatee County area and am disgusted with the idea of this happening. Profit is not more important than the environment and the publics welfare. Stop the mining now!

So many reasons I object to phosphate mining. The environmental effects, scarring large areas of Florida, destruction of farming communities. Mosaic TV ads are ridiculous, giving the impression that Mosaic is a farm related organization, thata doesn't permanently damage the environment. Every time I saw the ad, I feel there is major dishonesty being present to the public.
