I am ashamed to have been born, bred a Sri Lankan. I was proud of my country's Buddhist reputation and a Patriot. Now I am ashamed of Sri Lanka, the government that sets no example to the people, the Buddhist monks who are more interested in power and politics than standing up for innocent helpless animals and the poor. This recent cruel evil inhumane illegal torture and murder of innocent helpless dogs and cats at Moratuwa University is a Damn Bloody shame on Sri Lanka and Buddhism. There have been numerous incidents like this. Sri Lanka is losing all morals and decency , people do nothing unless they can gain from something. Sri lanka is letting her wildlife get killed by ignorant cruel people and is losing all respect for how she treats animals. remember how you judge a country and it's people is by how that nation treats animals. Damn Shame on you Government and the Maha Sangha ... shame on the perpetrators of cruelty ... stop this, ban this now ... a just punishment would prevent such ignorant cruel idiots including the security company, the VC of UOM and other scum doing this again

Shame on u people shame on u seriously, u pray in front of God statues which are lifeless they don't have life but the animals do , what do u think ur own god is happy with what you are doing . Just remember one thing god has sent these speechless creatures to see the human reality that how a person who can speak behaves with other living beings who can't do anything . If he truly exists he will hit u back at the time u get a rebirth. Killing animals killing dogs is equal to killing a human being . Law isn't strict otherwise nobody has the right to kill any living creature

Because even though I'm a foreigner I am proud to call Sri Lanka my home. These acts of legitimized depravity make me feel ashamed for those who perpetrate and those who feel nothing and stand by. This is not Sri Lankan..this is surely not Buddhism.
