Stop McDonalds Opening Opposite Greystones Schools

I object on the grounds of ... 1. Wicklow Town Council, their planning office and their town planners, seem to think that public health planning is outside of their area responsibility and instead this is the responsibility parents only. They have abandoned one of the key responsibilities of their public roles. 2. Placing a restaurant like this, with it's strong aromas and smells, within meters of children's class rooms and playing courts/pitches seems to be more than a little cruel and a clear temptation to growing impressionable children. 3. Lidl Supermarkets, as owners of this land, have a responsibility to their existing customer base to do the right thing by their conscience. Not to hide and be media shy. I believe that if your customers and community opinion does not matter to you, then a public boycott of your business in Greystones may help focus the mind?

A ridiculous proposal. Such a poor decision makes you wonder if there is something rotten in the workings of Wicklow County Council.

We do not need one more unhealthy fast food restaurant. Dont we need to work together and show our kids way of better looking after their own health and provide the better options for them, to be an examples. So No to another McDonalds by the schools.

The residents and the schools don't want this. Stay out.

We should take a leaf out of Austrias book. Very few fast food restaurants on their main streets.

Totally against this. Our planning people need to cop on and think about the health of the local children instead of developers profits.

Greystones doesnt need this. Keep the junk food away from the kids.

The traffic around Blacklion is already a nightmare at school drop off times. Why would they add a drive thru to that mix? Madness.
