President Cropper and the housing department finally folded and scrapped this predatory mandatory housing scheme. We stopped these administrators from trapping students in motels and draining our bank accounts. Stay alert because we proved exactly what happens when they try to exploit us for profit.

This petition is fighting against the mandatory on-campus housing starting next fall 2018. We as a CSU school should not be forced to live on campus, let alone be put in Motel 6, a dangerous and unsanitary place to live. This mandatory situation is forcing students to drop out because of the financial burden and inconvenient living situation.

This petition will be sent to President Cropper and Head of Housing at CSUM.

President Cropper and the housing department are still hiding behind excuses while students are being forced into these disgusting motels. I am tired of their silence and I am taking this fight directly to their offices this week.

Either make CMA a true military academy or a true state university. You can’t shelter cadets from the real world. The sooner they learn to survive on their own and not on campus the better they will be for life and in society.

I rely on my parents for tuition and housing. I will not make them pay more for housing when I can live at home 40 minutes away and commute. My family isn't rich and my brother is in college too, so we could definitely the money.

As a former CMA student and graduate, I agree that students should not be forced to stay at the motel 6. It is dangerous and most of all unsanitary. Simply ask yourself: Would you make your own family stay the night at this motel?

Mandatory on campus housing was not what I signed up for. I have never lived on campus and to now move on campus and away from my family is not an option. This is extremely inconsiderate and feels like a scheme to rip off students.

Not only are you trying to house students in a disgusting, rundown MOTEL 6 that's frequently visited by prostitutes and drug dealers, you are are taking advantage of students and running this institution like a money making business rather than a university.

I save $4000 a year living off campus. This includes power, food, and rent for 12 months. Making students move back on campus after acquiring a home and furniture is unfair. On campus housing is far more expensive than off campus housing and I can’t really afford either.

Napoleon had a 7-year-old admiral and an 8-year-old general, the people who run some of these schools must have their heads stuck so far up what will never see daylight
