Stop Maltby Academy School from preventing children wearing coat hoods outside in school grounds

Absolutely ridiculous!

I used to attend this school and you wasn’t allowed inside the buildings (besides the lunch area) if you were on your break or dinner. The children need to keep warm for their health- if they are so worried about intruders then they should spend some of the ridiculous amount of money they spent on re designing the school on better security systems. I said it while I was young and I will say it to this day, all that school has ever cared about is the way it looks to others.

They need coats to keep them dry when it’s raining and snowing school will soon moan when there of poorly

Another ridiculous rule made up by some idiot on a power trip no doubt. I honestly despair of this school. Education seems to be the last thing on their mind, more interested in implementing stupid ideas and punishing the kids over anything and everything.

It’s not fair at all especially in these weather conditions . It’s freezing and windy! It will cause more havoc in the hallways Cos everyone will be tryna keep warm at lunch and break etc. It’s not threatening behaviour. At least change it so that ur cant have ur hoody hood up but u can ur coat

Its a joke its freezing its snowing its raining, you complain when pupils have time off school well when there made up with flu its your own fault.

I left Maltby Academy in 2015 and none of this Nosence was happening pretty stupid tbh

defo this school is a joke it's freezing you never see the teachers without their coats

It’s now gone stupid,with all these rules. Poor kids will be freezing and when they get back to class they will all be moaning there all cold. Don’t forget all the heat in your body goes out from your head

A child's warmth and comfort should be paramount! Having wet hair in class must distract them from their studies

Ridiculous! How can children just be expected to wear a blazer in these weather conditions. Yet you see teachers walking round school in their coats! One rule for one and one for another!

Maybe if there is a problem with intruders, the security needs to be seriously looked at as this is a massive safeguarding issue- lack of Childrens hoods are not going to help!
