Stop Maltby Academy School from preventing children wearing coat hoods outside in school grounds

They send people home because off it

the school is stupid were not allowed hoodies not allowed trainers the school is also rasist and girls are not allowed makeup or handbags its a load of bs they need to fix up, them not letting us wears things that make us feel comfortable or we will just keep getting sent out of lesson and doing things to wind them up

Coats are built with hoods for a reason, to protect from adverse weather!

They can wear coats. They cannot wear the hoods up on their coats outside in the school grounds, to keep warm.

My son will be going to school in a coat it's freezing outside and it's not fair for kids not to wear a coat they will catch their death so mine will be wearing his

this is absolutely bs and i don’t agree with this as i am a student attending maltby academy

My son came home with a full head cold last week due to this daft rule, I understand the hoodie rule, but if it's bad weather the kids need their hoods up, rain, snow, freezing temps n wind, would love to know who decided on this stupid rule.

If it is raining or snowing it makes sense to use hoods, however if they just put the hoods up for the hell of it then no they shouldn't .

This school has gotten ridiculous, when I was there we was allowed our coat for a bit. You need to realise, it's cold outside, people will be freezing, then you complain about students not being there all the time, well durrr they will have bloody colds and everything, all teachers think about now is themselves, start thinking about the students, if I was still there which I left last year. I would tell all teachers what I think, ridiculous concentrate on the students and helping them get a good education.

My child has alot of ear ,nose, and throat infections, they can't wear hats either and when it's bitterly cold outside they need some form of weather protection for the outdoors .

Ridiculous. I'm all for school uniform and rules but this is way ott. If a kid is outside they need to be wearing a coat and hat or hood. This would and does happen in the 'real world'. Sorry MA but get a grip. Concentrate more on giving your pupils the best education possible and less on petty rules.
