Girls' self-esteem level is getting lower and lower. Who's fault is this? There are many causes but the main one is magazines. Magazines are showing skinny and airbrushed models. This just makes girls want to be like the models. This can cause them to develop an eating disorder or lower self-esteem.

Updates

May 29, 2012

The volume of support has now reached a level that allows us to secure a formal meeting with the publishers. I am currently drafting a letter outlining our specific evidence regarding the impact of airbrushed imagery on youth self-esteem. Updates on the meeting timeline will follow once the editorial offices confirm their availability.

THESE MAGAZINES NEED TO STOP! My daughter thinks she has to look like a skeleton to be pretty and it breaks my heart.
