The eco system of dore lake must be protected. michel point peninsula should be designated as a Ran area (no logging) as water surrounds it. this is a recreational area where tourists and cottagers come from all over canada and the usa. stop the logging plans on michel point forever. LEAVE IT NATURAL.

It was just as day like any other day. The only thing that made it significant was that masses of people joined in. Rosa Parks

Ryley, these videos are amazing! Thank you so much for sharing. I'm a member of the Committee opposing the logging. May we use these videos in our campaign?

For an area of natural beauty in the Boreal forest there is no need to log off the main access road. This road is used by residents, part time residents, hunters, fisherman, and campers to name just a few. logging off the main access road will only cause dangerous and intimidating road condition. It will give many a reason not to travel to the Micheal Point and Tower areas. Logging should be carried out in remote areas to lessen the impact on existing haitats.

Dore Lake has been a part of my life since I was a baby. For this to happen will be terrible. My family has been going up to Dore Lake for years. This lake has become a place to get away from all the hustle and bustle of the big city. It has also been a place for me to photograph, film, and show the beauty of Dore Lake. If this happens there will be nothing to photograph or film. The animals will go away and what was once a serene place will now be empty, barren, and devoid of life. Here are some photographs and films I made to show the beauty of Dore Lake. https://vimeo.com/46991056 https://vimeo.com/73729911 https://vimeo.com/102472962 https://www.flickr.com/photos/55007773@N02/sets/72157650261034687/ Please look at these to see what will be taken away from so many people. Thanks, Ryley

Just because there are roads that make the trees easier to get to does not by any means give these logging companies the right to destroy this land. Build your own roads farther north loggers and stay out of Dore, Michel Point and peoples backyards.

This plan is shocking, almost unbelievable!
