SAWA do a wonderful job looking after dogs and donkeys abandoned by irresponsible local people. I have a house in Santorini and compared to many other Greek communities I was impressed by the efforts to look after the animals

This is a deliberate act of sabotage from a person who holds a public office position! Pity he doesn't do what he is presumably paid to do!

Dear Mr. Ioannis Rouussos. What are you doing? I always thought you are a decent person. I lived in Karterados for 10 years, but now I feel ashamed to learn what's going on with SAWA. I will share these information with my colleagues from the German press. Yours Jörg Neuschäfer

It is time this petty vendetta against SAWA was stopped, it is getting in the way of the excellent job the team are doing to care for the unwanted animals on the island. The 1,000's of tourists that visit the island every year and make it possible for the many of the inhabitants to live there do not want to see emaciated dogs cats and donkeys wandering the streets. Get over your problem Ioannis Rouussos and grow up

I cannot, for the life of me, understand how this man could be so stupid. The Greek islands are dependent on tourism. Tourists are upset when they see cruelty to and neglect of animals. I remember seeing the packs of poor emaciated dogs in the Port in Santorini. SAWA is working to solve this problem in a humane way, by taking these animals in to their shelter, neutering them and finding them homes, thus making Santorini a more agreeable place for tourists to visit. This person Ioannis Rousso's sheer stupidity beggars belief! How on earth can the population of Karterados hold their heads up when they have a President who is so lacking in intelligence.
