This is not fair for those may june and july and aug birthdays, these young kids dont care about who they play with they just want to play ball and get a fair shot. Let them play instradvof taking a year away!

Please change the age back to the previous eligibility standards for the sake of the kids!

My son played as a 10 yr old this year, not playing a single inning as an actual 10yr old. This rule is based in all stars, only 5-10% of kids make all stars... Leaving the other 90-95% suffering

Please don't take a year of 11-12 little league away from my son. It from nally starts to look like real baseball at that age!

My son is losing a year of eligibility and has a legislated, permanent disadvantage. As a 9year old he stood next to a kid who was a half a foot taller and outweighed him by a good fifty pounds and they were the same age designation. This is not an anomaly. My kid isn't tiny. He is physically and mentally a nine year old no matter what little league says. I don't know if we have any other choice but to find another option for our son. Little League should be ashamed of themselves.

Little League should not have implemented the age change in the midst of kids little league years. If so, they should have grandfathered all kids affected so that it starts with new kids entering the league. My son and several of his friends are being forced to play up and skip a year of play. It's a safety issue to have an 8 year old and someone potentially 20 months older playing against them. This is not about the kids best interest...they apparently do not care about the kids or the volunteers

This change should only apply to incoming kid, not those in the middle of their LL career causing some to lose their 12 year old season.

My son will lose a year of eligibility, will be separated from the team he has already been a part of and formed an important bond with, and will be forced to play up in the 9U league before he is ready. They should get rid of the age change across the board. I think the 12U field should change to 50 70 to deal with the issue that 13 year olds play in the LLWS. Deal with the real issue directly, rather than undermining the growth of so many younger kids.

recently many leagues conducted tryouts for all-star and tournament teams. It hasn't been brought up as much but after the "evaluation" process it is clear that if your son/daughter was a "forced player" based on age you can quickly see how difficult your son/daughter could ever make those teams becasue they are competing for spots on a roster against players at least a year, year and a half or older! My son(born 2006 will never be the age he is defined as being by little league. Tough to take your kid to a try out knowing what the outcome will be and talent has nothing to do with it.

Should be changed to June 30th for the benefit of the kids.

Not fair for kids to lose a year of playing the game. Little League can say all they want about aligning with International and Olympic Rules, but this is about the kids playing a sport they love. Our area also has a Peitition going and would love for you to sign ours as well. Here is the link: http://www.ipetitions.com/petition/little-league-age-determination-change

screw you LL... just go and watch my son and his team of 8 year olds, (9 according to LL) try and pitch and catch. LL will go down the toilet within 3 years... Kids can't make the throws back to the mound let alone from the bases.
